Ship Interface
Click “Ship Equipment” option from “Main” menu,(icon: 
) or shortcut key ”i”, and the ship’s management window will appear. In this interface you can see the ship characteristics, name, shipping space, gunshot space and ammunition.
The basic attributes of ship

Mast durability shows the HP value of the ship’s sails. The value will decrease once it’s hit by enemies in a battle.

Hull durability shows the HP value of the ship’s hull. The value will decrease once it’s hit by enemies in a battle.

Defense value shows the general solidity of the ship. The higher the value is the less injury your ship will receive from shots during battle.

Capability of changing direction: this capability is related to the size of ship’s body and the kinds of sails.

The maximum speed: a ship reaches its maximum speed when the wind blows behind it. It’s related to the number of sails, size and type of ship.

Supply consumption: the daily supplies used at sea are mainly due to crew quantity.

You can adjust the number of gun positions and set them up with all kinds of cannon and ammunition. Some notices: the types of ship will restrict the number of gun placements and shipping space. When you increase the number of gun positions, the space for storing goods and supplies will decrease consequently. Therefore you should find balance between shipping and self-defense.

Here you have a summary of your ship load repartition: number of cannons installed, max number of bunks for shipping, number of these bunks that are empty.

1. Buying a ship
After gainning a few levels, you will be able to buy a more efficient ship. Talk to your local dockyard master NPC 
and choose "Shipyard" from his manu.
You can buy as many ships as you want, but you can use only one of them at a time. So you'll have to store your other ships. whern you activate a ship your old ship is automatically stored in that town for you. Note that ships stored in a city's shipyard will stay there. If you sail to another city you won't find it in this city's shipyard. you will have to call it to the new city using the Consign Ship option.
In the shipyard window, you can see, in the bottom left area, the list of the ships for sale in the city. Ships whose name is in red are unavailable normaly due to your level.
In the bottom right area you can see the list of your ships in this city. Here you can switch from a ship to another. Just select the shipyou want, and then click on the "Change" button.
The main part of the shipyard shows the details of the selected ship (by default it is the ship you are currently using). In the top righthand corner you can compare some of the attributes of the selected ship to the ship your currently using. The attributes of your current ship are in green, those of the selected ship are in red.
Just below this, on the righthand side, you can find the sails' slots.
On the left border, you can find the other ship parts' slots. The three fundamental ship parts are down left : rudder, castle and the most important, the keel.
Please note that when you buy a ship your old ship still retains all of its cannons. so you will have too empty out the old ship before buying the new one if you want to re-use the old cannons. Also if you buy a smaller ship with less space in it you will loose some items. when you buy the new one. the best way is to put everything in to your bank then make your purchase.
2. Selling a ship
Once you have baught a ship, you may deside to sell one or all of your old ones. Talk to your local dockyard master NPC and choose "Shipyard" from his manu.
You can sell as many ships as you want, exept the ship your using. So you'll have to store ship you want too sell. Please note that when you sell a ship it still retains all of its cannons and WILL be lost during a sell. So you will have too empty out the old ship of cannons before selling if you want to re-use your cannons. Also if you buy a smaller ship with less space in it you will loose some items. when you buy the new one. the best way is to put everything in to your bank then make your sale.
3. Setting up a Ship
before going to sea and partaking in your first fight, or after buying a new ship, you need sort out your ship's cannons arrangment. and load up some cannonballs.
to purchase cannons and cannonbvalls go to the dockyard and speak to the master:

The top part of the interface shows your ship components, by hovering the mouse over each element you'll see extra information like level and how it affects your ship

Use scrolling bar to open place for your cannon. this action use cabin slot because you use this slot to installcanon instead of item storage. Warning: this is use cabin slot, you must have free slot to open place, else if you are full cabin space the item will be lost.

Install your cannon to your ship in each slot. the number of cannon is the same that you have allowed in the last step. if you have allowed 9 slot for cannon you can drop 9 cannon max. drag and drop your cannon. But cannon need cannonballs, to install the same type of cannon balls in all cannon just use right click in the cannonballs on your cabin bag to install different type of cannonballs, use drag and drop on the cannonballs slot.

The bottom section shows you your ships details, here you can see how things are affected by changes you make to your ship.

4. Upgrading ship parts
It is possible to change parts of your ship, mostly you will do this to install an updraded ship parts onto your ship.
firstly have the new piece in your ships cabin. Then talk to your nearest shipyard and ask to rebuild your ship.
In the reconstruction window, you can see the content of your cabin in the bottom-right corner. Just drag and drop ship parts from here to the slot of the ship part you want to replace.
You can look in the bottom area to check if the new ship part has improved the characteristics of your ship.
5. Refine or enhance ship parts
Diferent ship parts can be upgraded. thzere are two different types of upgarde: refine and enhance. to upgrade a ship part have it in your ships hold and have a chat with your local artisan NPC (icon : 
). So you have to make a choice: keep the items found to fill your card book, or transform them into ship part improvement items.

Talk to the artisan NPC and choose between Refine and Enhance.

The first improvement that you can apply is the Refine process. Doing that increases the probability that your active skills hit target.
To refine a ship part, you will need 10 different items in different quantities. In the near future, a very rare item will allow doubling the effect of the refine process. This item has to be put in the “Double Attribute” slot.
It is possible to refine a ship part several times. The more you refine a ship part, the more rare are the items needed to refine it again.

Enhance
6. Cabin size
you cabin size is dictated by the size of your ship however the usable amout is dicatted by thyour level. the Character can only carry a certain number of any one item.
7. Sailors, food and fatigue
the sailors that you hire from port town tavarn's will need supplies and rest. when in port or in a safe area around a port your sailors will recover any fatigue. there are two types of fatigue, sailing fatigue and combat fatigue. the use of a skill will use your combat fatigue. sailing on the sea for extended periods of time. In order to recover eather return to town and recover naturally or you can use some wine or fine rum!
8. Coloring sails and consortium logo’s
Introduction:
In discovery online a Consortium’s Image can be everything. From now on consortium players can have there logos proudly displayed on the front sails of all there ships. In order to display there logo the consortium’s Admiral of the fleet must first present the system with the logo. Then the players can choose to display this image or not.
(The following action must be performed by the consortium’s admiral)

Setting up the image within the system:
1. Buying the customization kit: The consortium Admiral can buy a “Consortium sails customization kit” from any items merchant (clothes icon here). This can be bought for 50 silver. |

2. Opening the kit interface: Right click the kit icon in your inventory will open up the consortium logo image uploading interface (icon here). Once this item is opened closing it will loose you the item.
Please insure that you have your logo image saved in jpg format ready saved on your desktop or in your documents folder, where you will find it. |

3. Finding and selecting your image: Click the “Select new image” to open the image finder window. Click on “Desktop” if you placed the image on your desktop or “Documents” folder if you placed it there. Once you find your file in the list select it and click on “Select”. |

4. Uploading the image to the validation server: once your image selected upload the image to our server for validation, using the “Upload” button. Once checked by one of our GMs you will be notified of this via the in game mail. |
In order too update or change the image you must delete the old image first. Do this when you have your new Logo ready to go online; buy a new sail customization kit and use it. This will offer to delete the old logo before you can put a new one in place.
Remember: you can only have One logo at a time, that of your consortium. |
Placing the Logo on your ships sails:
This is done by all consortium players that wish to display there colour’s with pride! For a small fee of 250JG per month a player can see the logo on the front sails of
ALL his ships. He can turn it on and off as he pleases during that month.
1. Look at your boat options window (image here). At the bottom of the interface there is a button:”Consortium Sail Logo”.
2. Click on the display button, this will, if any previous subscriptions have ended open the payment window. If your consortium doesn’t have a Logo set up by the consortium leader, a message will display saying logo is unavailable. Please check with your consortium’s Admiral that you have one in place.
Once payment started if your consortium places a new logo you will still see the old one until the new one has been validated.
